"Karen was an outstanding mentor and coach to our son. He was 13 and wanted to play hockey. He had little to no experience on skates and had no previous hockey skills. Karen was very encouraging about starting hockey at a later age and agreed to meet/assess him. After 15 minutes on the ice with Karen, he had already improved. He was willing to put in the work and Karen could see that. She continued coaching him during private lessons. She helped him build his skating/hockey foundation.
